Mr. James F. Watson, Sr., 84, of Rainey Road, Temple, Georgia passed away July 28, 2006 at his home following an extended illness. He was born March 5, 1922 in McDuffie County, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Alva Drane Watson, Sr. and the late Mrs. Fannie Mae Usry Watson. James served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was of the Methodist Faith. He married Shirley Crews on August 21, 1955. James was a retired school teacher. He was a member of the DEA, GEA, CEA and NEA, and was a member of the Lionâs Club and the VFW. In addition to his parents James was preceded in death by his sisters, Virginia Watson and Catherine Barrow and brothers, Alva Drane Watson, Jr, W. Holder Watson, Cody U. Watson and Thomas E. Watson. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mrs. Shirley Crews Watson of Temple; one daughter and son-in-law, Christi Watson Laseter and Ted Laseter of Kennesaw; one son, James F. Watson, Jr. and Sheree Price of Temple; brother-in-law, and sister-in-law, Jack and Dorothy Morgan of Rome, sisters-in-law Daisy Watson of Gainesville and Dolly Watson of Kennesaw; several nieces and nephews also survive. Regular Church Services will be conducted Sunday, August 27, 2006 at 10:55 AM from District Line United Methodist Church in Temple with Rev. Wesley Forrister officiating.
