James Calvin Garmon

James Calvin Garmon, 63 of Douglasville, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. He was born on May 25, 1960. He is the son of the late Sydney Hugh Garmon, Sr, and the late Evelyn Louise Adams.

Jimmy had a deep love for his family. He cherished every moment spent with his sister, children, and grandchildren.  He was a man known for his relentless pursuit of enjoying life while entertaining others and his commitment to hard work. He found great excitement AND excruciating pain in playing the lottery and watching UGA Football.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brandon Scott Garmon; brother, Sydney “Bubba” Hugh Garmon, Jr. and his sister, Ginger Lynn Pierce.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Deanna and Jeremy Brewer of Douglasville, Jessica and Chris Moss of Dallas; son, Kevin Garmon; sister and brother-n-law, Lorrie and Berk Patten of Winston; grandchildren, Ansleigh Holman, Kyleigh Moss, and Avery Brewer; several nieces; longtime friend and mother of his children, Pam Milner of Carrollton.

The family will have a celebration of life service on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Cowan Mill Church in Douglasville.

Jimmy will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, deep love for his family, and zest for life. His legacy serves as an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
