James Hanson

Harold HansonMr. James Harold Hanson, age 86, of Carrollton, passed away, Wednesday, January 24, 2018. He was born January 26, 1931 in Carroll County the son of the late Mr. George Martin Hanson and the late Mrs. Fannie Lou Womack Hanson. He worked for Cannon Casket as a supervisor for several years, later retiring from Douglas and Lomason after 25 years of service. Mr. Hanson was a farmer, cattleman, and gardener. He loved his family and his dogs, Sadie B and Cammerie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Hanson and Robert Hanson; sisters, Edna Collins, Inez Hanson, Ovie Steadman, Annie Mae Farr, and Louise Chance. He is survived by his wife, Rudene Newell Hanson of Carrollton; daughter, Janice Hanson Whitmire of Villa Rica; sisters-in-law, Reba Hanson and Ruth Hanson; grandchildren, George Erwin Ralls, Jr. of Bremen and Vicki Ralls of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Neal Williams and Rev. Fred Cook officiating.
