James Harold Pope

Mr. James Harold Pope, age 85, of Temple, Georgia passed away Friday, November 20, 2009 at his sons’ residence. He was born March 2, 1924 in Fulton County, the son of the late Mr. Guy Pope and the late Mrs. Florence DeFreese Pope. Mr. Pope was a member at Church of Christ. He worked as a mechanic in automotive/heavy equipment. When he retired, he loved sitting in his swing and relaxing and he was a big dreamer. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pope was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Harold Pope. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Phyllis Long Pope of Temple, his sons and daughter-in-laws, Guy and Teresa Pope of Carrollton and Brian and Nancy Pope of Villa Rica, and his brother, Fred Pope of Villa Rica. Five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday 23, 2009 at 2:00PM from the Jones-Wynn Chapel in Villa Rica with Celebrant Glenn Gilmore officiating. Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica.
