James Harvey Morgan, Sr.

Mr. James Harvey Morgan Sr., age 81, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, July 16, 2006 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital in Douglasville, Georgia. He was born August 23, 1924 in Seneca, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Mr. Dewitt Morgan and the late Mrs. Cleo Morgan. Mr. Morgan was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II and the Korean Conflict as a Gunners Mate. He worked as an accountant. Mr. Morgan was a member of Arbor Heights Baptist Church in Douglasville, Georgia. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Lois Marie Henderson Morgan of Douglasville; his daughter, Angela Sherril Morgan of Cedartown; his son and daughter-in-law, James Harvey Morgan, Jr. and his wife, Terry Lynn Morgan of Cedartown; brothers and sister-in-law, Dewitt and Anita Morgan of Los Angeles, California and Larry Morgan of San Diego, California; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Arbor Heights Baptist Church in Douglasville, Georgia with Pastor Andy Gray and Dr. Marion Beaver officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs, Georgia.
