James Dennis Hubschmitt Sr.

James Dennis Hubschmitt, Sr., 79, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023. He was born on July 29, 1943. He is the son of the late Elbert Henry Hubschmitt and the late Lillian Goodell.

James loved to piddle with things. He loved to do yardwork. James enjoyed playing around with his service dog, Madison.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Elbert Hubschmitt, Jr. and Bruce Hubschmitt.

Mr. Hubschmitt is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Marilyn Hubschmitt; daughter, Jennifer Crankshaw and her husband, Anthony of Dallas, Georgia; sons, James Hubschmitt, Jr. of New York, Joseph Hubschmitt of Douglasville, Georgia; brothers, Henry Hubschmitt and his wife, Eleanor of Elmira, New York, Wayne Hubschmitt and his wife, Maureen of Elmira, New York; sister-in-law, Jeanne Marie Hubschmitt; grandchildren, Marilyn Barday and her husband Matthew, Linzy Vaughn and her husband Jonathan, A.J. Crankshaw; great grandchildren, Holden Barday and Ella Vaughn, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Hubschmitt was cremated.
