James Kevin Cheek

Mr. James Kevin Cheek, age 45, of Winston, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice following an extended illness. He was born April 1, 1964 in Marietta, Georgia the son of Mr. Robert L. “Corky” Cheek and Mrs. Carolyn Ward Cheek. He worked as a commercial welder. He is survived by his parents, Robert L. “Corky” Cheek and Carolyn Ward Cheek of Winston; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kelly and Pastor Jerry Faver of Villa Rica and Karyn and Chip Crook of Winston; paternal grandmother, Helen Cheek of Douglasville; three nieces, Ashley Faver, Laura Faver, and Sarah Faver all of Villa Rica; one nephew, Jackson Crook of Winston; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Faver, Pastor Mike Adams and Rev. Johnny White officiating and Mrs. Kelly Faver will render the eulogy. Interment will follow at Cold Springs Cemetery in Winston. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Tuesday, September 29, 2009 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Wednesday, September 30, 2009 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.
