Mr. James Lee King, 63, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, August 11, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus. He was born April 23, 1945 in Calhoun County, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Otha King and the late Mrs. Sallie Padgett King. He married Marie Gamble on March 16, 1973 in Cobb County. He was a member of Clay Road Baptist Church in Austell. He was a building contractor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald King and Willis King. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marie Gamble King of Douglasville; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and John Clark of Lindale, Selina Nix of Dallas, and Sonya and Tim Overton of Lithia Springs; sons, Lamar King of Douglasville and Scott King of Marietta; brother, Eddie King of Mableton; 7 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Benny Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The following will serve as pallbearers: Bobby Dobbs, B.J. Dobbs, Bryan Dobbs, Sid McDougal, Kevin King, and clifford Brown.
