Mr. James âJimmyâ E. Mahs, Sr., age 87, of Temple, passed away, Wednesday, December 23, 2015. He was born February 11, 1928 in Atlanta, the son of the late Mr. Frank Xavier Mahs and the late Mrs. Rhilda Depalmitire Greg. He worked as a Foreman for 22 years for Trans America IMS. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Rhilda Louisa Loggins. He is survived by his wife, Tena Kellum Mahs of Temple; daughters, Marci Mahs of Paulding County, Debbie Ryan of Virginia; sons, James E. âBoâ Mahs, Jr. of Kennesaw, Al Slocum of Savannah, William Douglas Archer of Valdosta; ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, December 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Chaplain Kenneth Brown officiating.
