James Melvin Carlisle, 66, of Temple, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 14, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Carlisle was born July 4, 1942 in Rome, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. Noah Benjamin Carlisle and the late Mrs. Carrie Almeda Harrison Carlisle. Mr. Carlisle worked as radio announcer, was owner of a security company and was a member of the Christ Cathedral in Winston, Georgia. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Survivors include his wife of over 45 years, Mrs. Lynda Ruth Rice Carlisle of Temple; his daughter and son-in-law, Paula Danette Gore and her husband Mark of Bremen; his sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony Dale Carlisle and his wife, Beth of Lilburn and Lance Brock and his wife, Selina of Dallas; two sisters, Ethel Delores Luci of Rome and Ann Brooks of Warner Robins; his brother, Charles L. Carlisle of Rome; grandchildren, Nick Finley, Erica Finley and great grandchild, Bethany Fortner and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, August 17, 2008 at 2:00PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Pastor Jerry Faver officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of the Cross at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Saturday, August 16, 2008 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
