James Mitchell

Mr. James Ray Mitchell, age 63, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital. He was born September 10, 1950 in Atlanta, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Raymond James Mitchell and the late Mrs. Geraldine Scott Mitchell. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was an electrician and enjoyed fishing and football. He was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Gunner Ray Mitchell. He is survived by his wife, Jean Campbell Mitchell of Lithia Springs; three daughters and son-in-law, Sabrina and George Tucker of Texas, Jessica and Dustin Benton of North Carolina, and Julie Brown of Lithia Springs; sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Courtney Mitchell of Texas, Ray and Kim Mitchell of Villa Rica, Dexter Guy and Corey Brown both of Lithia Springs; sisters and brother-in-law, Susan and Jerry Freeman of Douglasville; and Connie Mitchell of Missouri; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville.
