James Oliver Thompson

Mr. James Oliver Thompson, age 78 of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020. He was born December 15, 1941 in Carrollton, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. Oliver W. Thompson and the late Mrs. Rosa Lee Wysnir Thompson. Mr. Thompson worked for Tanner Medical Center and Central Elementary School for many years. He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church. He loved his church very much. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by wife, Fannie Louise Marlow Thompson; seven brothers; three sisters. Mr. Thompson is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Cindy and Jimmy Choate of Villa Rica, Georgia, Sharon German of Carrollton, Georgia, Billieann Walker of Swainsboro, Georgia; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Leighanna, Christina, Sheyenne, Jamie, Daniel, Connie, Brooklyn and Kylee; nine great grandchildren, Caden, Kyndall, Cullen, Keirston, Braydon, Caysen, Analee, Carsen, and Memphis; several nieces and nephews also survive. We are still providing services to our families based on CDC Covid-19 guidelines. Private graveside service will be conducted with Rev. Josh Agan and Rev. Jeff Byrd officating.
