James Wenzell Richardson, 85, of Lithia Springs, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026. He was born on July 14, 1940 in Alabama, the son of the late A.J. Richardson and Essie Rollins Richardson.

James served honorably in the Air Force, embodying a deep sense of duty and patriotism. Those who knew him well recall his integrity, his quick wit, and the earnest way he approached both his professional and personal endeavors.

Outside of work, James was a man of many passions. He found true joy in the great outdoors, whether hunting in quiet woods or casting a line while fishing on calm waters. He shared his love for sports by coaching softball, inspiring those he mentored with patience, encouragement, and a genuine enthusiasm for teamwork and friendly competition. At home, James was known to settle in for an evening of classic western movies, appreciating timeless tales of adventure, grit, and honor—qualities that resonated deeply with his own values.
