James Robert Lewis

Mr. James Robert Lewis, age 79 of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021. He was born August 2, 1941 in Lithia Springs, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. Milton Lee Hansard and the late Mrs. Eunia Haney Hansard. Mr. Lewis was a truck driver for 53 years. He loved his grandchildren and loved giving them nick names. He loved going on cruises. Mr. Lewis was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife of 60 years (his honey dumpling) Mrs. Carolyn Tucker Lewis of Douglasville, Georgia; children and spouses, Robert Lee and Sharon Lewis of Douglasville, Georgia, Regina and David Roberts of Waco, Georgia, James Michael Lewis of Douglasville, Georgia, Timothy Scott and Sondra Lewis of Douglasville, Georgia; siblings and spouses, Mary Williams of Kansas, Harold Lewis of Cartersville, Georgia, Milton and Pat Hansard, Jr. of Douglasville, Georgia, Joy Slater of Temple, Georgia, Dale and Billy Davis of Douglasville, Georgia; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville with Rev. Mike Powers officiating.
