James Starnes

Mr. James Walter Starnes, age 73, of Douglasville, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015. He was born November 13, 1941 in Atlanta, the son of the late Mr. Luther Starnes and the late Mrs. Patricia Alexander Starnes. He was a self employed carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Gazaway Starnes of Douglasville; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffery and Patty Starnes of Douglasville, Steven and Candi Starnes of Winston; daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Eugene Gamblin of Douglasville, Tammy and Rob Medlin of Temple; sister, Patsy Coleman of Alabama; brother, Randy Starnes of Atlanta; grandchildren, C. J. Starnes, Chad Starnes, Cody Starnes, Austin Starnes, Bethany Starnes, Hailey Powell, Lindsay Powell, Jesse Powell, Robbie and Brandy Medlin, Casey Medlin, Kristen and James Jean; great grandchildren, Emilee Hargett, Wesley Hargett, Alexis Skye Brown, Talan Medlin and Jamison Jean. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville , Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn with Pastor Vance Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehaven Memorial Park.
