Mr. James Walter Baggett, 65, of Villa Rosa Way; Temple, Georgia passed away at his residence Monday, September 17, 2007. He was born April 12, 1942 in Dade County, Florida; the son of the late Clayton Clark Baggett and the late Mary Lou Mathis Baggett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward Baggett, Fred Baggett, and Roger Baggett. Mr. Baggett was of the Baptist faith and was the owner and operator of Baggett & Sons Concessions. He was an avid fisherman and loved to cook. He was also an accomplished guitar player and enjoyed gambling. Survivors include his daughters and son in-law, Jennifer and Jeff Cannon of Temple; Mickey Slay of Lithia Springs; son and daughter in-law, James âWaltâ Baggett Jr. and Amanda Baggett of Temple; sisters and brother in-law, Fay and Chuck Wallenzin of Miami; Gloria Williams of Miami; and Ruth Greer of Thomaston; brother and sisters in-law, Donald and Peggy Baggett of Reidsville, Glenda Baggett of Thomaston, and Mary Baggett of Cochran; six grandchildren, Mark Flowers, Lance Slay, Jr., Heather Slay, Jesse Cannon, Gracie Cannon, and James Walter âBudâ Baggett, III; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, September 21, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, in Villa Rica with Pastor Jimmy Post officiating. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Thursday, September 20, 2007 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
