Mr. James William âWillieâ Teal, age 79, a lifelong resident of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 26, 2010 at his home. He was born April 26, 1931 the son of the late Comer and Nellie Teal. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, Past Commander of the American Legion Post 145 in Douglasville. He retired from Lockheed. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and had recently been attending Liberty Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Teal and sister, Anne Ruth Bragg. He is survived by his four daughters and sons-in-law, Fran Collum of Douglasville, Ronnie and Tammy Ayers of Winston, Johnny and Sonya Basler of McDonough, and Mignon Sherrill of Douglasville; grandchildren, Desiree Collum, Josh and Ashley Abercrombie, Chris Ayers, Tiffany Ayers, Courtney Moss, and Madison Basler; great granddaughter, Jayda Jenkins; nephew, Danny and Barbara Bragg of McDonough; niece, Phil and Jane Sapp of Macon and caregiver and dear friend, Jerry Cantrell. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Dr. Garry Eudy and Rev. Charles Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow at Douglasville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Friday, August 27, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
