Jane Long

Mrs. Jane Pope Long, age 87, of Temple, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015. She was born June 24, 1927 in Villa Rica, Georgia and is the daughter of the late Mr. Roy Stephen Pope, Sr. and the late Mrs. Maggie Wynn Pope. She was a member of Georgia Power Ambassadors Retirement Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Long; daughter, Patti Webb; and brothers, Tom Wynn Pope and Roy Stephen Pope, Jr. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Guy Steven and Nancy Long, of Wichita, Kansas; six grandchildren, Jodi and James Faucett, Aaron Dixon, Elizabeth Anderson, Michael and Rosemary Dixon, Dr. Robin Long and Ben Gerrard, and Matthew and Nadine Long; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, April 27, 2015 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Seely officiating.
