Janet Edwards Latimer

Janet Edwards Latimer, 77, of Villa Rica, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. She was born on July 31, 1946, the daughter of the late James Edwards and the late Marie White Edwards.

Janet was known for her unwavering faith and devotion to her First Baptist Church of Villa Rica family, where she sang in the choir and actively participated in the Sunshine Girls Sunday School Class. Janet's love for spending quality time with her family and friends was evident in the joy she radiated. She had a great sense of humor and she was a big Georgia Tech fan. Her presence brought comfort to those around her, and her gentle spirit will be dearly missed by many.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Franklin Latimer; son, Matthew Latimer of Smyrna; brother, James (Judy) Edwards of Villa Rica; nieces and nephews, Lori (Dean) Johnson, Traci (Dan) Black of Woodstock, Terri Latimer of Roswell, and Jeff Edwards of California; brother-in-law, Ted (Cindy) Latimer of Roswell; several great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at the Villa Rica Chapel of Jones-Wynn on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.
