Janette Mayfield

Mrs. Janette “Pib” Eileen Williams Mayfield, age 82, of Villa Rica, passed away, Wednesday, August 7, 2019. She was born May 25, 1937 in Carroll County, the daughter of the late Mr. Arling Jackson Williams and the late Mrs. Lula Dorough Williams. Mrs. Mayfield loved wood working, arts and crafts and gardening. She invented several things over the years. She helped her husband operate Mayfield’s Garage and Wrecker Service for many years. Mrs. Mayfield loved her family and was a devout prayer warrior. She was long time member of Powell Chapel United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, William “Gene” Eugene Mayfield on May 29, 2019; brother, Jerry Williams. She is survived by her son, Randy Mayfield of Villa Rica; sister, Betty Morrow Abercrombie of Villa Rica; brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry Williams of Carrollton, Tony and Sarah Jane Williams of Carrollton, Bobby and Nadine Williams of Carrollton; sister-in-law, Frances Williams of Carrollton; eight grandchildren, Cody Mayfield, Colt and Heather Mayfield, Chase Mayfield, Savannah Mayfield, Natashia Mayfield, Emily Mayfield, Byron Mayfield, and Trevor Mayfield; the boy’s mother, Michelle Floyd; six great grandchildren, Chyenne Mayfield, Cohen Mayfield, Cayden Mayfield, Cassidy Mayfield, Cash Mayfield and Case Mayfield; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Long, Rev. Neal Williams officiating.
