Janice Greene

Mrs. Janice Banks Greene, age 81, of Douglasville, passed away Saturday, November 02, 2013. She was born October 23, 1932 in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Ernest William Banks and the late Mrs. Annie Laura Smith Banks. She was a teacher for many years and worked in retail. She attended New Georgia Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Harris Greene; sister, Polly Kelley; two brothers, Ernest Banks and Bill Banks. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Jane Greene of Douglasville, Rick and Debbie Greene of Fayetteville, Johnny and Lori Greene of Carrollton; brother and sister-in-law, Max and Elizabeth Banks of McDonough; five grandchildren and spouses, Missy and Joey Ford, Alisha and Trey Wadsworth, Stephanie and Chris Johnson, Justin Greene and Nicole Greene; seven great grandchildren, Tate Ford, Tucker Ford, Zoey Wadsworth, Anzley Johnson, Alyna Greene, Drew Wadsworth and Brooklyn Johnson . Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 2:00 Pm until 4:00 PM and 6:00 Pm until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of New Georgia Baptist Church with Dr. James Burdette officiating.
