Mrs. Janice Ellen Hardy McKerley, age 71, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017. She was born July 4, 1946 in Austell, Georgia, the daughter of Mrs. Virginia Green Hardy and the late Mr. Clyde Hardy. She worked as a bank teller early on and for most of her life as a secretary with her husband. She was a kind, caring, and honest woman with a great sense of humor. She was devoted and supportive to her family. She loved decorating, collecting dolls and she enjoyed the beach and the mountains. She put everyone else before herself and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Robert Wayne McKerley of Port Orange, FL; her son, Barry Carden of Acworth; two step-daughters and a son-in-law, Susan Rossow of Allen, TX and Joy and Ryan Reding of McKinney, TX; her loving mother, Virginia Green Hardy of Douglasville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Donny and Grace Hardy of Douglasville, GA; seven grandchildren, Dalton Carden, Dylan Carden, Ryan Rossow, Ivy Rossow, Jason Reding, Audrey Reding, and Melanie Reding; nieces, Valerie Eison and Tara Hardy; nephew, J.D. McKerley; several other nieces and nephews; and extended family. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
