Janice was a remarkable woman whose kindness and strength touched the lives of many. Janice’s life journey was characterized by her many passions and commitments to those around her. She was a phenomenal cook and she loved creating delicious meals for family and friends. She enjoyed socializing and was a "character“ with a warm spirit. Her charm and grace defined her interactions, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her. Her achievements included graduating number one in her nursing class at Pensacola Junior College. She performed as a Registered Nurse in Florida, Texas and North Carolina. She was involved in the beginning of Stem Cell Research at M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas including the recovery and transplant of stem cells in patients. She was assigned the task of writing a manual for the procedures for this process while was also being involved in training of doctors in the procedures. She served as an Elder in the Carrollton Presbyterian Church congregation with grace and wisdom. She was truly inspiring in her determined passion for the lifelong pursuit of knowledge and self improvement. This was exemplified when at the age of sixty five years she returned to college to graduate from West Georgia University with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts (Cum Laude). This quest continued with a goal to better understand her religious belief in Christianity by the reading of various versions of the Bible. She would begin each year by starting the reading of a selected version and ending it by the end of the year. At least four of these readings were completed when the progression of one of the forms of Dementia frustratingly ending the quest.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Lee E. Sundberg; daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Lee Davis of Mississippi, Stacey and James Tollerson of Villa Rica, Georgia; sister, Judy Narmore Davis of Land O’Lakes, Florida; three grandchildren, Katherine Tollerson, Alexa (Nathan) Byrd, James (Michelle) Davis; three great-grandchildren: Henry Davis, Avery Byrd and Addison Byrd.
