Janie F. Butler

Ms. Janie Franklin Butler age 79, of Lithia Springs, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. She was born January 17, 1942 the daughter of the late Mr. Horace Warren Franklin, Sr. and the late Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hubbard Franklin. Ms. Butler enjoyed flower gardening, and assembling puzzles. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly and was so proud of them. She spent many years helping others by serving as a registered nurse in local hospitals. In addition to her parents, Ms. Butler was preceded in death by her sister and brother Ms. Carol Batelaan and Mr. Horace W. Franklin, Jr. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Walter and Kimberly Butler of Douglasville; daughters and sons-in-laws, Amy E. Patterson of Temple, Ga, Rebecca Jo and Carey Keith of Douglasville, Ga, Mary Kathleen and Jay Hayes of Tennessee, Susanne Butler of LaGrange, Ga; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Maryann Brown of Milledgeville, Ga, Victoria and John Yates of Lithia Springs, Ga; and sister-in-law, Vickie Franklin of Milledgeville, Ga; numerous extended family members as well. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home and Crematory, Douglasville on Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM. Funeral services will be conducted from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglasville and live-streamed on the Jones-Wynn Funeral Home and Crematory Facebook page on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 1:00 PM.
