Mr. J.C. Ingram, 79, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, October 6, 2007 at his residence. He was born October 2, 1928 in Cleburne County, AL the son of the late Mr. George Ingram and the late Mrs. Myrtle Smith Ingram. He married Bertie Lois Benefield on April 16, 1949. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Ingram served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company following 38 years of service. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruby Ingram. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mrs. Bertie Lois Benefield Ingram of Douglasville; one sister, Alley Ingram Verner of Tallapoosa; a number of nieces and nephews also survive. He will be dearly missed and remembered by Pasilee Benefield of Buchanan, GA and his brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Hall Smith and Rev. Lee Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The following will served as pallbearers: Clifford Breton, Lee Benefield, Vertis Benefield, Wesley Smith, Paul Pesnell, and Jimmy Pesnell. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Monday, October 8, 2007 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
