Marie Herrington

Jean Marie Herrington, age 85, of Lithia Springs, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023. She was born August 22, 1937 in Athens, GA. She is the daughter of the late Mr. Robert Jackson Allen and the late Mrs. Mozelle Manley. Mrs. Herrington started her career as a Delta flight attendant and worked for Douglas County School System, Brides Belles & Beaus, she retired from banking with Citizens and Merchants Bank. A few of her favorite past times were crafts, and baking chocolate chips cookies. She was known for always sending cards for birthdays and celebrations. She loved serving in the church and with the Cursillo Community.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Wayne Allen; sister, Judith Ann Curlee.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Mr. Joe Wendell Herrington; daughter, Sheree Herrington and Tom Crumbley of Flowery Branch; son, Mark Herrington of Lithia Springs; grandchildren, Joseph Andrew Herrington, Ally Nicole Herrington, Thomas Aaron Crumbley, Joel William and Kayla Crumbley. Michael Allen Crumbley; a number of nieces and nephews.

The private graveside service will take place on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs.
