Jean Smith

Mrs. Jean Vickery Smith, 68, of Fairburn, Georgia, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017. She was born April 2, 1948 in Orangeburg, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Mr. Robert Greene Vickery and the late Mrs. Mildred Bair Vickery. She worked as a secretary at Atlanta-Casualty Life Insurance Company until her retirement. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Vickery. She is survived by her husband, Harold Eugene Smith of Fairburn; her children, David Smith of Carrollton, Stephanie Smith of Carrollton, and Scott Smith of Villa Rica; sisters, Gail Hullender of Villa Rica and Carol Cooper of Georgia; brother, Robert Vickery, Jr. of New York; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Friday, February 17, 2017 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Friday, February 17, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Gary Price officiating.
