Jean V. Shepherd Henson

Mrs. Jean Virginia Shepherd Henson, age 78, passed away Monday, April 26, 2010 at her residence in Temple, GA. She was born October 15, 1931 to the late Mr. A. E. Shepherd and Mrs. Myrtle Couch Shepherd. She worked for Jean’s Hosiery Mill as a knitter. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Henson; son Randy Dwayne Henson; sisters, Linda Emory, Kathryn Keith, Janice Hackney, and brother, Donald Shepherd. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Rena and Bill VansLyke of Douglasville; son and daughter-in-law Billy Clint and Renee Henson of Temple; sisters, Rita Pharm, Durann Jarriell, Dorothy Clay, Lula Mae Keith, Betty Ruth Smith; brothers Junior Shepherd of Villa Rica, Ronald Shepherd of Villa Rica, Bud Shepherd of Douglasville, Danny Shepherd, James Shepherd; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Service will be conducted Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica with Rev. Marty Hulsey and Rev. Jody Cole officiating. Internment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica.
