Mrs. Jean Carolyn Carruth Wallace, age 74, of Lithia Springs, passed away, Saturday, September 2, 2017. She was born October 25, 1942 in Dekalb County, AL the daughter of the late Mr. Leonard Franklin Carruth and the late Mrs. Grace Maybell Powell Carruth. She loved to take pictures, go camping and being with her family. Mrs. Wallace was a member of the Women of The Moose. Mrs. Wallace dedicated her life to serving and caring for others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Russell Carruth, Guy Carruth, Junior Carruth; sisters, Faye Dennis and Eloise McKeehan. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James Donald Wallace of Lithia Springs; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Mark Lee of Douglasville, Tina Smith and Michael Harding of Villa Rica; sister, Virginia Fuller; grandchildren, Brittney Smith, Patrick Smith and Shannon Sanchez, Kaleigh Smith, Ashton Lee and Mayar Karma, Makenzie Lee and Edward Reeves; three great grandchildren, Marleigh Hendrix, Oliver Hyder and Dillon Hyder; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Marbut officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
