Jeffery May

Jeffery “Jeff “Alan May of Atlanta, Georgia born May 19th 1965, passed away Monday December 19, 2016 at his home. He is survived by Kimberly Oneita May, mother of his children, Andy May, Austin May, Aubrey May; brother Stephen May, and several nieces, nephews and extended family; lifelong friends Jimmy Brubaker, Gary Brubaker, Mike Newman, Jeff Barnes; and predeceased by parents Warren “Buck” May and Anna May. Jeff was a dedicated, hardworking provider for his family. He worked with cars all his life, beginning at Piedmont Brake-O, John Thornton Mazda, Heritage Volkswagen. He was employed at Hennessey Mazda for many years as a Master Mazda Technician. His skills as a technician were second to none. When asked questions about possible diagnosis of auto problems, he would sarcastically say, “Well bring it over to the phone, so I can see what’s wrong with it.” If Jeff wasn’t at work he could be found in his downstairs auto shop (otherwise known as the nursery), babying classic cars. When he was too tired to do such physically demanding work, he tirelessly assembled and detailed model cars in his hobby room. For family enjoyment, he did not veer too far from his love of cars. He would load a trailer full of dirt bikes and travel trailers to ride motor cycles and watch drag racing. A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Jones Wynn Funeral Home 2189 Midway Road, Douglasville, Georgia 30135.
