Jeremy Ivan Rogers, age 23 of Douglasville, passed away, Sunday, July 28, 2024. He was born July 15, 2001 in Atlanta, GA.

Jeremy's educational journey was marked by his dedication and thirst for knowledge. He graduated from Westlake High School before furthering his studies at Ft. Valley College and Georgia State University. His commitment to learning was evident in all aspects of his life. In addition to his academic pursuits, Jeremy served in the Army National Guard Reserves, embodying the values of duty and honor. Outside of his professional life, Jeremy found joy in various hobbies and interests. He loved playing basketball, working out at the gym, indulging in Taco Tuesdays, and exploring different countries - having visited four during his lifetime. The beaches of Florida held a special place in his heart. One of Jeremy's greatest pleasures was spending time with his friends from high school and the military. Above all else, Jeremy cherished moments of prayer and gratitude towards God. Jeremy Ivan Rogers leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and love that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his mother, guardian and protector, Tomika Allen of Douglasville, GA; biological father, Ricky Rogers; biological mother, Michelle Samuels; sister, Shequita Samuels of Atlanta, GA, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.
