Mr. Jerry Shelton Mr. Jerry Hubert Shelton, 65, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, December 26, 2005 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice. He was born January 28, 1940 in Athens, Georgia the son of the late Mr. J.R. Shelton and the late Mrs. Geneva Freeman Shelton. He was a member of Mableton Pentecostal Church and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a plumber. He is survived by his wife, Jeannie Scott Shelton of Douglasville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Regina and Dennis Machowski of Cumming, Linda and Alvin Sieber of McDonough, and Chari and John Hopper of Douglasville; five sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory Hubert Shelton of Villa Rica, Calvin and Cindy Headrick of Carrollton, Morris Headrick of Rockmart, Mark Headrick of Rockmart, and Chase and Sherry Booth of Tallapoosa; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Cressa and Major Callahan of Mableton, Denise and Forest Lowe of Palmetto, Brenda and Denny Batchelor of Athens, Dede and Dave Locke of Douglasville; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Fledia Shelton of Douglasville, Keith and Mary Shelton of Austell, Johnny and Barbara Shelton of Douglasville; 18 grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Services will be conducted on Saturday, January 14, 2005 at 2:00 PM from the Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel with Brother Joel Frazier officiating.
