Jerry M. Pennington

Mr. Jerry M. Pennington, 57, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Sunday, October 8, 2006 at his residence. He was born January 4, 1949 in Vernon, Alabama. He was the son of the late Mr. Charlie Pennington and the late Mrs. Annie Yarborough Pennington. Mr. Pennington worked as an automobile technician for 35 years and owned Jerry’s Auto Repair in Villa Rica, Georgia. He was a founding member of the Golden City Cruisers. Mr. Pennington was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church in Villa Rica, Georgia. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Mrs. Sally Worley Pennington of Villa Rica; his daughters and son-in-law, Tina and Tom Newson of Athens, Tennessee and Colina Pennington of Villa Rica; sisters and brothers-in-law, Eloise and Doug Cantrell of Pickens, South Carolina and Grace Pennington of Homestead, Florida; brothers and sisters-in-law, E. C. and Virginia Pennington of Temple, Dupree and Hilda Pennington of Vernon, Alabama and Walter and Margaret Pennington of Fort Pierce, Florida; grandchildren, Ashley Rene Newson and Austin Thomas Newson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carl and Gerri Schoolcraft, John and Doris Lynch and Jeff and Keri Worley; and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Memorial services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 7:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Georgia with Rev. Raymond Martin and Rev. Jerry Brown officiating.
