*SERVICES HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED DUE TO WEATHER. PLEASE SEE NEW DATE BELOW. Mr. Jerry Lynn Phillips, age 59, of Villa Rica, passed away, Wednesday, December 6, 2017. He was born January 14, 1958 the son of the late Mr. Burnett Edward Phillips and the late Mrs. Inez Norris Phillips. Mr. Phillips served in the United States Army. He worked for S & L Distribution as a truck driver for many years. Mr. Phillips was a member of Gateway Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Phillips. He is survived by his wife, Sheila George Phillips of Villa Rica; step-daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Kevin Campbell of Paulding County; step-son, Jason Ponder of Villa Rica; two grandchildren, Tyler Rice and Andrew Rice; one great-grandson, Adyen Rice; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Friday, December 8, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, December 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Cook and Chaplain Sam Braswell officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Tyler rice, Andrew Rice, Kevin Campbell, Kevin McClure, John Phillips, and Jessie Strickland.
