Jerry Smallwood

Jerry Smallwood, 56, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025. He was born on August 31, 1969, the son of the late Jerald Eugene Smallwood and the late Evelyn Elaine Smallwood.

He was a dedicated truck driver whose life was marked by a profound work ethic and an unwavering commitment to his profession. Jerry’s career as a truck driver exemplified his personality; he was truly married to his job, a hard worker who took great pride in his contributions to the logistics of everyday life. His colleagues respected him not only for his work but also for his infectious sense of humor, which brightened the days of those around him.

Outside of work, Jerry embraced the joys of life with enthusiasm. An avid video gamer, he found happiness in exploring virtual worlds, sharing competitive moments, and creating lasting memories with friends. He also enjoyed spending time at the gun range, where he appreciated the camaraderie and focus that came with the experience.

Jerry was known for his generous spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His caring nature made a positive impact on many, and he will be fondly remembered for the kindness he extended to others.

He is survived by his loving wife Tracy Royer Smallwood; daughters, Cheyanne, Brittany and Kaitlyn; son David; sister, Valerie; and two great nieces.

In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated.

Jerry’s presence will be missed, but his vibrant personality and dedication to both his work and his loved ones will remain cherished in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Jerry leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered by many.
