Jerry Williams

Mr. Jerry Hannon Williams, age 65, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, March 23, 2009 at his residence. He was born June 23, 1943 in Atlanta, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Hubert Williams and Mrs. Ola Bailey Williams. He was of the Baptist faith. He worked on the Lakewood Plant assembly line for General Motors Corporation. Mr. Williams was devoted to his family and was a proud father and grandfather. He enjoyed cooking and was an avid pool player. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathryn Williams of Douglasville; daughters and sons-in-law Teresa and Robert Vaughn of Douglasville, Tina Marie and Terry Smith of Villa Rica; his mother Ola Bailey Williams of Clayton County; sisters Shirley Gilley, Kay Holtzclaw, and Wynell Johnson all of Clayton County; brothers Hubert Williams, Homer Williams Jr. of Lake Weiss, Alabama, and Larry and Phillip Williams both of Clayton County; grandchildren Matthew Scott Vaughn, Kevin Michael Vaughn, Krista Marie Smith, Tyler Dwayne Smith; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 27, 2009 at 1:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Douglasville. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Thursday, March 26, 2009 from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
