Jessie Frank Criswell

Mr. Jessie Frank Criswell, age 73, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at his residence. He was born December 16, 1936 in Rockdale County, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. Jessie Russell Criswell and the late Mrs. Lillie Mae Green Criswell. Mr. Criswell worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, remodeling and doing yard work and he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Criswell was preceded in death by his son, Jessie Tim Criswell and his great grandaughter, Emily Elizabeth Criswell. Survivors include his wife of over 43 years, Mrs. Marjorie Ann Pugh Criswell of Villa Rica; his daughter, Sally Ann Criswell Dudley of Villa Rica; his son and daughter-in-law, Jessie James Criswell and his wife, Lisa of Villa Rica; his sisters, Ala Mae Johnson of Lithonia and Ruby Lean Martin of Villa Rica; his brothers, Gerald Criswell of Villa Rica, Vernon Criswell of Villa Rica and Donald O’Dean Criswell of Bremen; eight grandchildren, Jessie Ki Criswell, Andrew James Criswell, Cody DeWayne George, Joshua Adam Criswell, Melandy Ann Dudley, Jacob James Criswell, Matthew Garrett Criswell and Alisa Ski Criswell; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, December 27, 2009 at 4:00PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Villa Rica with Revs. Joe Tanner and Kevin Kersey officiating. Pallbearers will be Jessie James Criswell, Andrew James Criswell, Jessie Ki Criswell, Cody George, Josh Criswell, Wayman Cohran, Jr. and Jacob Criswell. Interment will follow in Powell Chapel Cemetery in Villa Rica, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Saturday, December 26, 2009 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM.
