Mrs. Jewel Gertrude West Padgett Hallman, 95, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, August 27, 2007 at Douglasville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born September 29, 1911 in Paulding County, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. James Warner West and the late Mrs. Willie Mae Norton West. She was a long time member of Beulah Baptist Church. She was a member of the T.E.L Sunday School Class in which she taught for 14 years. A very important part of her life was her time spent volunteering for Wellstar Cobb Hospital. She was a devoted wife and homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Padgett, her second husband, Willie L. Hallman, and two brothers. She is survived by Wyman Hudson and Jean Hudson of Deatsville, AL; 3 nephews, Phillip West, James Ronald West, and Steven West. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Dr. Danny Watters officiating. Musical selections will be rendered by Terry Pearman and Hope Smith. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour. Messages of condolences to the family may be sent to www.jones-wynn.com.
