Mr. Jimmie Collis, age 70 of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020. He was born May 3, 1950 in Ellijay, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. John William Collis and the late Mrs. Shirley Louise Collis. Mr. Collis was a very hard worker. He loved building birdhouses, hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling. Mr. Collis could build anything. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond Wright, Charles Wright, Billy Wright, Betty Wright, Charlotte Collis and Bobby Collis. Mr. Collis is survived by his wife, Mrs. Brenda Faye Wilson Collis of Douglasville, Georgia; daughters, Patricia Collis Mooneyhan, Naomi Collis, Amanda Beth Jones; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Mac and Linni Collis, Jr. of Gainesville, Georgia, Charles William Collis of Mississippi, David Russell and Tammy Collis of Pike County; step-daughters and step-sons-in-laws, Shannon and Roger Duncan of Douglasville, Georgia, Julie Crystal O'Neal of Douglasville, Crystal and Edgar Pena of Douglasville, Georgia; step-sons and step-daughters-in-laws, Samuel A. and Amanda Wilson of Williamson, Georgia, Lee J. and Marissa Wilson of Rex, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; twenty six step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. According to Mr. Collis's wishes, he will be cremated. A Private Memorial Service will be conducted at a later date. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
