Jimmy Leon Fleming

Mr. Jimmy Leon Fleming, age 68, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia. He was born May 31, 1941 in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. Jefferson Lafayette Fleming and the late Mrs. May Ivey Fleming. He worked as a sheet metal worker for Local #85. Mr. Fleming enjoyed going to yard sales, doing yard work and building birdhouses. He will be especially missed by his two dogs, Winky and Ginger. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fleming was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Virginia Louise Gantt Fleming and his daughter, Mrs. Katherine Christine Fleming McLarty. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, David Leon and Paula Fleming of Carrollton and Darrell Wayne and Margaret Fleming of Carrollton; his brothers and sister-in-law, Donald and Elaine Fleming of Newnan, Jerry Leroy Fleming of Augusta and Danny Lee Fleming of Temple; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, October 12, 2009 at 3:00PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Villa Rica with Rev. Ricky Shadrix officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Cornerstone at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica, Georgia.
