Jimmy Ray Priest

Jimmy Ray Priest, 67, of Temple, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. He was born on March 12, 1956. He is the son of the late Howard Priest and the late Rose Mae Streetman Priest.

Jimmy Ray cherished his family above all else. His love for his children knew no bounds. He enjoyed cars, classic country music and old westerns that transported him to a simpler time. He loved to joke and laugh when you called.  After he greeted you with “Hey, Sunshine”, he always said he was just “playing tennis”.  Jimmy’s legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Jenny and Kenny Kelley of Columbia, TN and Jessie and Benton Alexander of Spring Hill, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Roger Hunt of Celina, TN, Peggy and Wayne Coleman of Randolph, AL, and Kay Lynn and Chris Schartle of Bremen, GA; brother, Ricky Priest of Temple, GA; several grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
