Jo Ellen Carter

Mrs. Jo Ellen Carter, age 67, of Douglasville, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023. She was born March 26, 1956 to the late Mr. Horace Denny Carter and Mrs. Ellen Ozell Carter. Jo was known for her unwavering sense of loyalty and dependability. She was always there for her loved ones. Her family meant the world to her, and she cherished every moment spent with them. One of Jo's greatest passions in life was her love for animals and had a soft spot for cats. Sci-Fi was another interest close to Jo. But perhaps what endeared Jo to so many was her remarkable sense of humor. She had an infectious laugh that could brighten even the darkest of days. 

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Ellen Ozell Carter; sister, Lee Ann Carter and Shawn Hesselgrave of Marietta; momma Frances; uncle, Allison and Mary Bragg of Florida; and seven cousins.

The family will have a graveside service at the Douglasville City Cemetery on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 1:00 PM.
