Jo Gershon

Mrs. Jo Lynn Hunt Gershon, age 80, of Union City, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Country Gardens Assisted Living in Union City. She was born August 20, 1930 in Pelzer, SC the daughter of the late Mr. William Leon Hunt and the late Mrs. Eunice Sewell Hunt. She worked for Belks for many years and loved to travel. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Charles Sewell. She is survived by her husband Philip Alvin Gershon of Union City; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Elizabeth and Mark Carl of Hampton; sons and daughter-in-law, Joe Edwin and Linda Terrell of Fultondale, AL, James Alan Terrell of Fultondale, AL; sisters and brother-in-law, Jacqueline and Tony Acuesta of Grand Isle, FL, Patricia Ayers of Carnesville; six grandchildren, Anthony Scott and Jenny Terrell of Woodstock, Benjamin P. and Amy Terrell of Fayetteville, AL, Cameron Bradley Parmer of Austin, TX, Capt. Beau Ashton Parmer of Omaha, NE, Justin and Amanda Carl of Edwards, CA, Daniel Carl of San Diego, CA; two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Cole Terrell. Several nieces, nephews and special family members, Jim and JoAnn Tuttle also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, July 15, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of the Mausoleum at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica with Rev. Bob Jones officiating. Entombment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Thursday, July 14, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
