Joan Brown-King

Mrs. Joan Patterson Brown-King, age 65, of Winston, Georgia passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013 following an extended illness. She was born November 1, 1948 in Blue Ridge, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Lester Patterson and the late Mrs. Mabel Foster Patterson. She worked as an office manager at Complete Construction and was of the Christian Faith. She is survived by her husband and best friend, Woody King of Winston; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Brown of Douglasville and Greg and Carlie King of Winston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sonya and Jeff Dutton of Villa Rica, and Kim and Britt Worthan of Winston;; one brother, Donald Patterson of Jennings, FL; her cousin and close friend, Ms. Sammy Brown; eight grandchildren, Niki, Amber, Lauren, Brittnee, Zach, Marlee, Jessie, and Logan; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Tyler Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville. The following will serve as pallbearers: Jimmy Brown, Kevin Matthews, Britt Worthan, Jeff Dutton, Greg King and Zach Dutton.
