Joan Hicks

Mrs. Joan Delores Hicks, age 80, of Lithia Springs passed away Friday, December 14, 2018. She was born September 19, 1938 to the late Mr. John D. Clark and Mrs. Mosetta Palmer Clark. She was very civic minded, a CASA volunteer in Georgia, and worked as an Assistant Personnel Director/Affirmative Action Officer for the Massachusetts Parole Board in Boston. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Ronald Clark, Carl Clark, and David Clark.She is survived by; son and daughter-in-law's, Peter and Jemma King of Boston Massachusetts, Dana and Petra Clark of Boston, Massachusetts, daughter, Valerie Jerome of Ghana Africa, daughter and son-in law, Vanette and Donald Thompson of Lithia Springs, Georgia; The Clark Family of California; The Clark Family of South Carolina; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 1:30 PM from the First Presbyterian Church of Douglasville with Rev. Andrew Dickinson officiating.
