Mrs. Joan Marie Newton-Newman, age 81, of Douglasville, passed away, Thursday, November 16, 2023. She was born on May 7, 1942 to the late Mr. Albert Moule and the late Mrs. Evelyn Patterson. Throughout her remarkable life, Joan was a beacon of love, kindness, and compassion. She touched the hearts and lives of countless individuals, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. Joan loved music and dancing and was very active in Woody Fite Senior Center.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, John Newton; second husband, Cecil Newman; daughter, Jacqueline Newton.

She is survived by her daughter, Roxanne Newton of Douglasville; sister, Barbara Reigle of New York; brothers, Gerald (Cindy) Moule of New York, Jim (Betty) Moule of New York and Her large second family of Newmans.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

 The funeral service will take place at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville at 11:00 AM with Dr. Jim Grieme officiating. The visitation will be held after the service from 12:00 PM until 12:30 PM. The interment will follow at Camp Memorial in Fayetteville.
