JoAnn McGinnis Tucker

Mrs. JoAnn McGinnis Tucker, age 70, of Villa Rica, Georgia, formerly of Niagara Falls, New York area for 42 years, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton. She was born July 31, 1939 in Howesville, West Virginia the daughter of the late Mr. Carl McGinnis and the late Mrs. Ruth McGinnis Llewelyn. Mrs. Tucker was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald “Bud” McGinnis, Burton McGinnis, and Gerald McGinnis and her sister, Jean McGinnis Silcott. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Frederick Paul Tucker of Villa Rica; daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and Bronson Foster, III of Villa Rica; son and daughter-in-law, Frederick and Rachel Tucker of Villa Rica; brother and sister-in-law, Derl “Sonny” and Rosalee McGinnis of Maryland; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charles and Karen Tucker of Tallapoosa and Connie Walker of Virginia; four grandchildren, Cauy Foster, Lane Foster, Katlyn Tucker, and Rebecca Tucker; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Brother Dan McPherson officiating. Entombment will follow at West Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica, Monday, September 28, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
