Joel Anthony Moye, 52, of Villa Rica, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025. He was born on December 11, 1972, the son of Darlene Stiltner Reeves and the late Kevin James Moye.
Joel also known as “PorkChop” was a US Air Force veteran and he was very patriotic. Joel loved his family. He worked as a truck driver for many years and he volunteered as a fireman in Sumter, South Carolina. His hobbies included anything with computers, painting cars, racing cars and watching sports of all kind. Joel had a profound interest in ancestry and took great pleasure in learning about his family history. He was also a talented mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie Moye; daughter and son-in-law, Lynzee and William Eplion of Crossplains, Tennessee; brother and sister-in-law, Kevin James Moye, Jr. and T.J. of Sumter, South Carolina; grandchildren, Hayden, Mollie, and Raelyn; niece Ainsley Moye; nephew, Lawton Kirby; many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends he loved dearly.
In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated. The family will have a celebration of life at their home July 18th through July 20th.
