John Allen Searls, II

John Allen Searls, Jr., age 72, of Temple, Georgia, passed away on February 1, 2022. He was born on January 19, 1950, the son of John Allen Searls Sr. and Nellie Ruth Reed in Charleston, WV. Mr. Searls was a man who loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending the fall months hunting with friends and family, and recounted many stories of his favorite memories in the woods. John loved spending time at the lake, especially with his fishing buddy (and canine companion) Jackson. He spent many hours watching old westerns and was an avid gun collector. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Rick Searls. He is survived by 5 children and 6 grandchildren: Amy Moles and spouse Harold Ray Jr. of Dunbar, West Virginia, Kelly Saunders of Culloden, West Virginia; Joe Searls and spouse Jennifer Searls of Mason, Ohio, James Searls and spouse Denielle Searls of Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, Matthew Searls and spouse Lauren Searls of Charleston, West Virginia. Grandchildren include Casey, Joycelynn, Nick, Ryan, Emma, and Michael. He is also survived by three sisters: Sue and Eddie Litton of Hurricane, West Virginia; Pam and David Bosarge of Winnie, Texas, Karen and Tom Fitzgerald of Humble, Texas. He is also survived by Sherry McDowell and her children and grandchildren. Services will be announced at a later date.
