John C. Hoag

Mr. John C. Hoag, 68, of Harvest Ridge Drive, Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, August 7, 2005 at his residence. He was born June 13, 1937, in New York. He was the son of the late Clarence Hoag and the late Alida Hoag. Mr. Hoag was a veteran of the United States Army and served from 1959 until 1962. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Mr. Hoag worked as a warehouse manager. He enjoyed fishing, working in the yard and the mountains. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Mrs. Joyce Lamb Hoag of Douglasville; three daughters and son-in-law, Sheila and Terry Cain of Cartersville, Teresa Logan of Tampa, Florida and Pam Carbasal of Tampa, Florida; two sons and daughter-in-law, Steve Evans of Douglasville and Jason and Dana Evans of Douglasville; three sisters and brother-in-law, Ruth Hoag of Cape Coral, Florida, Patsy and Larry Rhoades of Kentucky and Ellen Hoag of Alabama; 11 grandchildren, John Tyler Evans, Jennifer Evans, Brittany Logan, Meghan Logan, Hannah Logan, Cassie Logan, Angel Terrell, Bobby Cain, Evan Cain, Christy Holcombe and Adam Carbasal; 3 great grandchildren, Kayla Taylor, Melany Perkins and Dillon Perkins; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Steven Willliams officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Monday, August 8, 2005, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
